The Seoul Metropolitan Government hosted the 1st International Forum on Air Quality Improvement in 2010 to improve air quality in East Asia through international solidarity, which implemented various policies to reduce fine dusts and improve air quality. Since then, East Asia's Clean Air City Network has been established within the consent of participating cities, where Air Quality Forum have become an important event in which local governments, air quality experts, international organizations, and civil society have participated to explore the effects and solutions on fine dusts.
This year, representatives of global cities, international organizations, academia, civic groups and experts in the field will be joining under the theme of ‘Clean Air: Present and future’ There will be five thematic sessions on ‘Health impacts of air pollution’, ‘Vehicle emissions reduction’, ‘Stationary emissions reduction’, ‘Air quality technologies’ and ‘Partnership.’ We hope that the forum will serve as an opportunity for us to reconfirm how important for us to join forces to improve air quality and overcome the climate crisis.
